My actual favorite part of wisdom saga is telemachus trying to lean against Athena (he thought about that for .03 seconds and then was like nah !!! :D she's my friend not the goddess of war!!! Good to see that the audacity is running strong in odysseus's family) and then just passed threw her and fell on the floor. And then Athena did not move at all!!! And just stood there looking at him.

Another year has passed, and with it the opportunity to reflect back on all that has happened. While my growth was not as dramatic as last year, I can still see lots of positive change.

I'll never have enough ways to say thank you for all the love and support you have given me this year. On to 2025!

#poorly drawn mdzs #art summary #Since last year's independent variable was PD-WWX; this year I used Lan Wangji.#Unfortunately his appearances were not very evenly distributed this year! Lots of LWJ's early in the year #then a dead period in the middle. He is forever my silly rabbit. I love drawing him!#If I have to put a label on this year; I'd describe it as 'experimental'. I pushed myself to do llots of new things!#I drew lots for dungeon meshi and that really boosted my growth. More body types -clothing details - expressions!#Ryoko Kui is a great artist to learn from and It made me realize that I had a lot to gain from doing more studies.#I also started working on a whole new genre of art! While it has taken a backburner spot - I'm working on a game now!#Digital art was my enemy last year but I have been getting a feel for it now.#Goals for this year is to 1) keep working on my personal projects 2) finish PD-MDZS! and 3) practice animation!#I didn't (couldn't) draw as much as I did last year...but I had to take a lesson in humility and taking care of myself.#Drawing is something I do 'for fun' but there were many times it became more stressful than it should.#I'm still learning how to find and maintain balance with everything life throws at me.#We are all works of progress and I am trying very hard to love the process and the journey! I don't really know my destination!#But I will keep taking steps forwards. I never want to be stuck and lost as I once was.#If 2024 was a rough year for you too; We're in this together. Let's keep taking steps together. No matter how small.#Love you all so very much. You've given me strength on the darkest days. Thank you thank you thank you.

PART 2 of finding out what Lotus would look like in each TMNT universe~ Here she is in 2007, Rise (the movie specifically), and TMNT vs Batman!!! (All of these had references and I did trace to get the body shapes proportionate, as well as all the backgrounds are screenshots I did NOT draw them!)

I knew 2007 was going to be hard- and MAN WAS IT. I never do "realistic" shading and lighting like the movie, so this was very much a challenge for me. I am happy with how it turned out though! There's still some things I gotta work on when it comes to rendering skin and how to add lighting/shading, but overall, it was really fun with practicing something new!

I already had ideas on what Lotus would look like in Rise, (it helps that my style was heavily influenced by the Rise movie), so her design in that universe was very easy to decide on. :) She's a mix of both Mikey and Leo's height and build, (seeing how her age range is between the two), and I gave her a few extra stripes to help her fit into the dazzle of the Rise world. :)

EHEHHEHEHE TMNT vs Batman is my favorite of the TMNT movies, so I knew I had to draw Lotus in that style. I didn't realize how simple the turtles' designs were in it! There's mostly shading, no lighting, and there's not much texture of the gear or skin. So this version was finished the quickest out of all of them. :)

Alright! I think that's all the universes I'll draw her in- (I think), soooo yeah! Thanks for joining me on this little drawing challenge!

#ask #digital art #I truly am grateful for the amount of people that not only read my journal-essay-thoughts on my comics #but also take the time to respond and/or write their own thoughts on the themes and scenes.#I really love taking apart stories and seeing how the threads weave together. Like flipping over an embroidered tapestry!#Some people thinks it ruins the illusion of what a story is - to me it *elevates* the experience to see the seams.#It's like knowing how they did the practical effects and stunts in a movie. Something I think about way too often as I'm working on some fanfic stuff is how little we know about the religious figures in The Dragon Prince.

Katolis has Lady Justice, something of a religious symbol given the Priestess we see but we hardly see many of them aside from The High Cleric, Opeli.

Duren meanwhile has The Goddess of Harvest, and it seems they have a theocracy given they belive the Royal Line is chosen by their Goddess but we never hear or see mention of her in the show.

The other kingdoms have no references to gods or religious figures as far as I can remember but I feel it is safe to assume that they do have them so the question is what figures would they worship?

#jelly tarts #my instincts go for the other four virtue figures since lady justice is there so i think it would go:#Del Bar: Goddess of Courage. forbearance. strength. endurance. fortitude. dedication and ability to confront fear uncertainty and intimatio #Neolandia: Lord of Temperance. restraint. the practice of self-control. abstention. discretion. and moderation tempering the appetition #Everne: the ability to discern the appropriate course of action to be taken with consideration of potential consequences; cautiousness #but it would mean Duren is the only kingdom without a Virtue symbolism so i dunno #Del Bar could also worship a god of the hunt and Neolandia a god of trade and Everne a god of wisdom #the dragon prince
